Hangar 42 Blackpool

Hangar 42 was constructed in 1939 for the RAF. Polish and RAF Squadrons flew Night Fighter operations from Hangar42, with the building being refurbished to its WW2 operational state.

Hurricanes, Boulton Paul Defiants and Spitfires were amongst a range of aircraft operated from Hangar 42.

Famous Aviation Pioneer and ATA Pilot Amy Johnson also flew her last fateful mission from Blackpool in 1941.
